The Cathedral

Baroque style cathedral built between 14th and 18th century. We recommend going to the top of the tower and also viewing the inside of the cathedral. At night, it’s also very well illuminated from “Plaza Belluga”

Sites of interest

- Cardenal Belluga Plaza (nice for a walk in the evening and for having a coffee)
- Plaza de las flores (nice for a tapas style lunch. Look under “Restaurants” for recommendations on where to have lunch)
- Teatro Romea Plaza (nice for an evening walk and for having a coffee on one of the terrazes)
- Platería y Trapería: These are both pedestrians streets with shops.


Santa Clara Museum

This used to be the islamic-mudejar palace from de emir Ibn Hub. Later on it was converted to the “Santa Clara” monastery. Since 1365 there are “clarisas” nuns living in it. Santuario de la Fuensanta (A car is needed to get here)

TripAdvisor - Situated on the top of the mountain with unique views. The “Fuensanta” virgin is Murcia’s patron saint.

Regional de Calblanque Park (A car is needed to get here)

Virgin beaches. We recommend you to bring some food and water as there aren’t places close by to buy anythings. Some of the beaches you can visit are: Calblanque, Negrete o Parreño.


Cabo de Palos (A car is needed to get here)

Beautiful fishing town to spend a morning wondering around and having lunch. We recommend checking out the light house. Great are for diving.


Cartagena (A car is needed to get here)

Roman city. We recommend visiting the roman theatre. (Price: €6)


Batería de castillos (A car is needed to get here)

Spanish fort with a castle and canyons.

La Manga (A car is needed to get here)

Beach town 50 minutes away from Murcia. This area is surrounded by two different seas. On one side there is the Mediterranean sea and on the other one there is the “menor” sea. Great for water sports.


Arabic “Tetería” - Tea place. (A car is needed to get here. If you want to go here, please talk to the bride’s family. You can get lost very easily)

Salto de Usero en Bullas + Fuentes del Marqués en Caravaca (A car is needed to get here)

Nice for an easy hike in the morning. If you’re planning to go here, we recommend you go to the tourist office first and to be well informed. On this area, we recommend you to go to La Almazara restaurant.
